The Valenzuela City Cooperatives, in partnership with the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), gave donations in kind and in cash to DOLE’s Project Angel Tree, a project that “provides an array of social services that range from food, clothing, educational assistance or school supplies, and even work and training opportunities made available by sponsors or benefactors (‘Angels’) to child laborers and their families. It aims to improve the economic and social conditions of child laborers and their families and increase the number of allies and advocates of child labor prevention and elimination.”
DOLE’s Project Angel Tree received donations in cash and in kind from the Valenzuela City Cooperatives mainly from:

- Valenzuela City Government Employees Cooperative
The “Angels” wholeheartedly responded, even though the study conducted by DOLE found only twenty-four (24) child laborers working as scavengers in dumpsites in Valenzuela City. Said Valenzuela City Cooperatives’ donations were given thru Valenzuela CDO and P.E.S.O. c/o Dr. Josephine P. Osea, as witnessed by Valenzuela City CDS II Marilou M. Valencia, on the 26th ValKoop Congress and 25th Dangal ng Valenzuela in celebration of the Cooperative Month on October 28, 2022 at the 2nd Floor ALERT Multi-Purpose Hall, Malinta, Valenzuela City, with Top Valenzuela City Officials.
