The CDA Board of Directors, pursuant to CDA Board Resolution No. 748, Series of 2024, dated October 31, 2024, suspended the implementation of Section 6 of CDA Memorandum Circular No. 2021-01 as to the utilization of the Community Development Fund for cooperatives to offer immediate and meaningful assistance to its members and to the broader community that were devastated by typhoon Kristine using their Community Development Fund.
Shortly after, five other typhoons – Leon, Marce, Nica, Ofel and Pepito – have struck various parts of our country.
With the foregoing, the CDA Board of Directors pursuant to Board Resolution No. 785 Series of 2024 authorized the continued suspension of Section 6 of CDA Memorandum Circular No. 2021-01 so that cooperatives can utilize their Community Development Fund to provide assistance to their members and the broader community that were devastated by the aforementioned series of typhoons.
For those cooperatives with insufficient CDF to provide assistance as referred to in the preceding paragraph, they may utilize the unprogrammed Optional Fund subject to the subsequent ratification of the General Assembly during the next regular General Assembly meeting.
