In light of the devastation caused by the severe flooding due to Typhoon Kristine in the Bicol Region and other parts of the country, the implementation of Section 6 of CDA Memorandum Circular 2021-01 on the utilization of the Community Development Fund (CDF) is hereby suspended, pursuant to CDA Board Resolution No. 748 dated October 31, 2024.
Furthermore, we call on cooperatives to provide immediate and substantial assistance to their members and to the broader community using their CDF. This will enable targeted assistance to communities affected by recent disasters and natural calamities. The urgency and scale of these events underscore the need for cooperative solidarity beyond their immediate membership, in line with the values of mutual help, solidarity, and care for the community.
