CDA Joins NAPC, Others to Update National Anti-poverty Plan

The Cooperative Development Authority (CDA) actively engaged in the National Anti-Poverty Commission (NAPC) Joint Government And Basic Sectors Technical Action Officer – Technical Working Group (TAO-TWG) Meeting this November 09-10, 2023, in La Breza Hotel-Quezon City, Metro Manila. The CDA participated in the economic dimension group write-shop on the finalization of the National Anti-poverty Action Agenda (N3A), which is a comprehensive document focusing on combating poverty in the country.  This includes programs of co-implementing government agencies to address multidimensional poverty concerns: social, economic, ecological and governance.

The CDA shared with the Cooperative Sectoral Council members, and other basic sectors represented in the NAPC, the advancement of inclusive and sustainable development initiatives for the cooperative sector as the N3A gets updated. The fruitful discussion with the stakeholders got more meaningful with CDA sharing its priority and potential blueprints that reflect the main objectives of povery alleviation agenda of the National Government.

The CDA is represented in the two-day activity by Deputy Administrator Ray R. Elevazo and Mr. Lester John B. Molina. Meanwhile, the NAPC is currently chaired by its Lead Convenor, Secretary Lope B. Santos III.
