The CDA Region XIII Extension Office successfully conducted its mid-year assessment and
staff meeting for the calendar year 2024 on June 20, 2024, at Amontay Beach Resort in Nasipit, Agusan del Norte. This event was attended by all personnel.
The purpose of the assessment was to evaluate the performance of each section to determine whether they met their respective targets. Following the evaluation, management recommended appropriate actions based on the overall assessment of the sections. One of the notable challenges faced by all sections was the implementation of the specialization program. Under this program, technical personnel were divided into two teams: the Developmental team and the Regulatory team. While the program allowed personnel to focus on specific areas, it also led to certain targets not being met. For instance, members of the Developmental team could not conduct inspections of cooperatives, which was one of their targets, leading to an impact on the overall accomplishments of the office.
Regional Director Monatao Honeya R. Alawi addressed this concern, acknowledging that while the specialization program is necessary, it can lead to some targets being unmet. She
encouraged all technical personnel to continue doing their best despite these challenges. The personnel responded positively, committing to achieving their targets to the best of their abilities.
Following the assessment, a team-building activity took place in the evening. The activities were simple yet enjoyable, with personnel showcasing their beach attire and presenting a production number. Team building is a tradition at CDA Caraga, aimed at reminding personnel to take time to enjoy themselves despite the pressures and challenges of their work.
In her closing remarks, Director Alawi expressed her gratitude to all personnel for their good spirits. She noted the genuine happiness and strong bonds among her team, which she witnessed during the event.
