CDA RXIII Extension Office Holds Mid-Year Assessment and Staff Meeting, Reinforcing Commitment to Public Service

The CDA RIII Extension Office recently concluded its Mid-Year Assessment cum Staff Meeting held at the CDA Conference Room in Butuan City on June 14-15, 2023. The event brought together all personnel from CDA RXIII, as they gathered to evaluate their performance and reaffirm their dedication to public service.

On the first day of the activity, the focus was on the presentation of accomplishments for the 1st semester, based on the Work and Financial Plan Targets for FY 2023. The purpose of this session was to assess and evaluate the overall performance of the agency, using quantitative, qualitative, and timely measurements. Each personnel was given sufficient time to raise concerns, particularly regarding fieldwork. The management addressed these issues, clarifying performance gaps and prioritizing matters related to the implementation of the CDA-PCA Partnership Program through the Coconut Farmers and Industry Development Plan (CFIDP).

The newly employed Legal Officer III, Atty. Kenny Junce Altubar, creatively introduced himself while explaining the process flow in dealing with cooperative complaints and conflicts received by the office. This initiative was well appreciated by everyone, fostering better understanding and collaboration.

The second day of the event was filled with informative sessions covering a variety of topics. It commenced with the program “Lagsik CDA Caraga Year 4,” which aimed to promote physical well-being and a healthy lifestyle. Ms. Ezeil E. Cervantes, the proprietor of JUCHA VEGGIE RESTO, served as the resource person, providing valuable insights on mindful eating, immune boosting through consuming live, raw foods, regular exercise, and adopting a stress-free lifestyle. Additionally, the winners of the “wellness challenge” workouts, Budget Officer Ronel L. Pendon and CDS II Alvi May D. Musico, were announced and awarded prizes.

Another highlight was an orientation on the Data Privacy Act presented by Atty III Kenny Junce Attubar. Another important and engaging session focused on Gender and Development, as well as Gender Mainstreaming Mandates was presented by Edson B. Alijo, Information Officer III, and Technical Adviser on GAD of CHR CARAGA.

Equally important was the downloading of information regarding the Guidelines on GAWAD PARANGAL 2023 by Acting CRITS head Nino Rosil Bantayan, while Sr. CDS for Registration Lourd Anthony O. Dollano provided a refresher on MC.2012-18 titled “Guidelines on Merger and Consolidation Procedures for Cooperatives.”
