3-Day Workshop on Crafting the Credit Surety Fund Roadmap for 2024-2028

The event was held last February 27 to 29, 2024 at the 1CISP Building, Diliman, Quezon City, Metro Manila, spearheaded by the Cooperative Development Authority, together with the stakeholders nationwide of the Credit Surety Fund  Program, 21 representatives from Credit Surety Fund Cooperatives, eight (8) Local Government Units, Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas, and Landbank of the Philippines.

On the first day, Deputy Administrator Atty. Ma. Lourdes P. Pacao presented first the National Profile of the Credit Surety Fund Cooperatives, its membership profile, total amount of contributions, loans facilitated, and the challenges faced through its implementation. 

After learning the National Profile of the CSF Program, Atty. Mickel Borigas facilitated the 3-day workshop. He delved into the importance of Strategic Planning and the reasons behind organizations undertaking the process. 

He further shared with the group the first step which is looking at the current landscape of the program. He also elaborated that participants should take to heart the program’s direction and devise strategies to realize its goals and objectives.  He highlighted that the expected output of the workshop is to create the National Roadmap of the CSF Program wherein every stakeholder will align their own Roadmap.

On the last day, CDA Chairman USec. Joseph B. Encabo graced the event. He emphasized that the Credit Surety Fund Cooperative must spearhead change and not just a mere program but should deal with the lives of ordinary people. His message added vigor and enthusiasm to the participants.

At the last part of the workshop, participants signed the Manifestation of Support as commitment and wholehearted support of the program.

Overall, the workshop was a success as the participants were able to craft the Vision, Mission, Strategic Directions, Core Values, and Tagline of the Credit Surety Fund Program Roadmap for 2024 to 2028.
