Accounting is important in many ways because it is the backbone of a business. Its role is to track a cooperative’s finances in whatever forms they may take; from credits, debits, and profitability to payroll and tax filings. Also, proper recording and bookkeeping is an integral part of a business especially of a cooperative. By learning accounting and bookkeeping, one can better understand the operation and result of the business. Definitely another very productive and fruitful day full of understanding and learning experiences.
