Their empathy to the plight of senior citizens, especially those in remote areas, during this time of Covid-19 induced pandemic that disrupted normal routines of living, brought the officers and members of the San Miguel Municipal Employees Credit Cooperative (SAMMECCO) to many senior citizens living in the outskirts of the town of San Miguel, Catanduanes and to their members who were also in great need of succor.

The two-day food packs distribution started on April 14, 2020, Tuesday. The targeted recipients were coop members. They were given food packs containing rice, noodles, coffee, sardines, milk.
