The Cooperative Development Authority (CDA) attended the recently concluded “World Cafรฉ of Opportunities”, a highlight activity of TESDA's 30th Anniversary and 7th National Tech-Voc Day held last August 29, 2024 at the Llorente Covered Court, Llorente E. Samar.

The World Cafรฉ of Opportunities served as a convergence point to all possible opportunities such as employment, scholarship, training support, financial assistance and consultancy services to Tech-Voc alumni/graduates in Construction, Tourism and Agriculture sectors. The event was supported by the Local Government of LLorente and was attended by different stakeholders and TVET graduates/alumni and also some cooperatives. The graduates/alumni were able to take advantage of the services given by many agencies, particularly the job fair, which was attended by local firms looking for construction staff, as well as many other options available for the graduates.

The CDA’s involvement in the event emphasized the importance of cooperatives in the growth of the technical-vocational sector. The agency showcased how cooperatives can be an effective model forcreating sustainable livelihood and empowering TVET graduates/alumni. Through its booth, CDA provided valuable information on how tech-voc graduates can establish or join cooperatives to enhance their economic opportunities. The event also provided an opportunity for CDA to strengthen its collaboration with TESDA and other agency partners. CDA's participation in the World Cafรฉ of Opportunities highlighted its ongoing commitment and dedication in helping the technical-vocational sector build their skills and do competent work through the promotion of cooperation. The 7 th National Tech-Voc Day was a celebration of skills, opportunities, and collaboration. CDAโ€™s participation not only promoted the cooperative movement but also showcased the potential of cooperative as a vital tool for economic empowerment in the technical-vocational sector. The agency looks forward to more collaboration with TESDA and other stakeholders in the future, with the goal of creating a brighter and more sustainable future for all.
