An orientation on cooperative development was held at the Barangay Office of Tulawas, Pagadian City last September 2, 2024. The event was attended by Barangay Captain Jerry R. Mabanta, three Barangay Councilors, the Treasurer, Secretary, Mr. Raul T. Alcoran, Jr. Cooperatives Development Specialist II of CDA IX and representatives from the Tulawas Farmers Multipurpose Cooperative.
The meeting focused on introducing important programs like “Koop Kapatid” and “CoopBiz,” which support local cooperatives. They also discussed the accreditation for Cooperative External Auditors and Training Providers, highlighting the need for proper auditing and training.
The session ended with a review of other support services available to cooperatives, showing the Barangay’s dedication to helping local cooperatives grow and succeed.
