2024 TAGUIG CITY HANDHOLDING CARAVAN

 

On March 12, 2024, the 8th Handholding Caravan One-Stop-Shop for Small and Micro Cooperatives in Taguig and Pateros was conducted with a  total number of 45 Cooperatives in attendance with 206 participants (South Sector).  This was initiated by CDA-National Capital Region Extension Office (CDA-NCR EO) in partnership with Taguig City LGU represented by Taguig City Cooperative Development Office Head, Ms. Lecira Bing Juarez and Staff (Janeth, Aira, Arman, Mhon, Bree, Jay-R, Belle, Carlo, Jocelyn, Robin and Ranchel), the Cooperative Union of Taguig and Pateros (COUNTPA) represented by CEO, Mr. Russell B. Baldomar, Union of Defense and Public Safety Cooperatives (UDPSC) represented by General Manager, Ms. Salud T. Pasicolan, ACDI Multi-Purpose Cooperative, represented by the Head of the External and Coop Affairs, Dr. Patrick John Rico, Accountants and Bookkeepers, and Ms. Arlyn Domingo, Cooperative External Auditor (CEA).  The said holding of a Compliance Handholding Caravan aims to facilitate and provide full assistance and support to Taguig and Pateros Small and Micro Cooperatives for their compliance needs with the Authority.  The event was held at Lakeshore Activity Center, C6 Road, Barangay Lower Bicutan, Taguig City.

As part of the Handholding Caravan two (2) mandatory trainings were conducted simultaneously:

  • Fundamentals of Cooperatives
  • Cooperative Good Governance and Management

This was to give opportunities to Cooperative Officers to complete the needed officers’ training thus enabling the Coop to fully satisfy the compliance requirement.

That Handholding Caravan, a ONE-STOP-SHOP leading towards securing a Certificate of Compliance (COC) at the end of the day, was attended by employees of CDA-NCR Extension Office headed by Regional Director, Mr. Pedro T. Defensor, Jr. and Staff who are also co-manning the different stations:

  • Verification –Lex Jeremiah Romero and Jerome Bio
  • Evaluation – Marilou M. Valencia, Ludi Vi Manaog, Paul Gerald Salinas and Jezzelen Mae Cuevas
  • Bookkeeping – Rebecca Pasicaran, Aniceta Dalmacio
  • Auditing – ACDI and CEA, Ms Arlyn Domingo
  • Training – Ms. Ma. Flordeliza Chu, and Sherwin Keith Salazar, and
  • Issuance – Ms. Emerlinda Guillemer, Ma. Christine Del Rosario, Rhodora Fernando and Mylene Maria Elena Diaz

The brief visit of the Head of Human Services Cluster, ASec Vergel M. Hilario’s presence, was also acknowledged.

The Handholding Caravan Team expressed their gratefulness and appreciation for use of the venue, unlimited internet connectivity and food during this Handholding Caravan provided so generously by the Taguig City LGU/CDO, and Partners (COUNTPA and UDPSC).  Deepest gratitude is extended to the Taguig City LGU and Taguig City CDO Head, Mam Bing Juarez.
