Concern for community is our Seventh Cooperative Principle

.Last May 26, 2020, Ayala Multipurpose Cooperative, represented by Vice Chairman Mr. Ruel T. Maranan, General Manager Ms. Lourdes Orosa and CFO Jennifer Cura, donated 5,000 sets of Personal Protection Equipment (PPEs) to the Philippine Medical Association (PMA). The donation was accepted by the President of PMA Dr. Jose P. Santiago, Jr. and other officers. The Donation was made possible through the linkage of the Cooperative Development Authority Board of Director Member, Assistant Secretary Dr. Virgilio R. Lazaga; CDA-NCR Acting Regional Director, Atty. Frederick Joe N. Robles; and Cooperative Development Specialist II, Emerlinda Guillemer. Also present during the turn-over are CD-NCR Senior CDS Myrla Racelis, Acting Legal Officer Jhun Herrero, CDS II, Jez Cuevas and other support staff.
Ayala Multipurpose Cooperative is one of the largest cooperative, not only in the National Capital Region but throughout the Philippines, this institutional cooperative is owned and managed by the employees of the Ayala Group of Companies, having a membership of more than 35,000 nationwide. The donation is part of the community development service being worked by cooperatives for the sustainable development of their communities. This form of giving allows cooperatives to support community organizations, strengthen their relationships with local groups and increase their public exposure by providing community service.
Many of the cooperatives in the National Capital Region and all over the country, whatever the size they may be big or small has been actively conducting community development services in helping our country cope up with our current National Health Emergency Covid-19 Pandemic. Many these cooperatives have been at the forefront in providing PPEs and food packs to our frontliners, providing relief operation to their members and to communities. We encourage our cooperatives to lets our presence felt, lets continue to show our entire country that the cooperatives are here to help, lets help our government to stop this crisis so that we could get back on our feet and walk further to greater heights never forgetting the lesson we have learn from this crisis. We who renders service must put ourselves in line for greatness – economic development, great gratification, goodwill, and great happiness in serving.
