The Caloocan City Cooperative Development & Coordinating Division Office headed by Mr. Allan Lambojo (OIC, Coop Division Office) initiated a two-day seminar entitled “A Practical Steps to Financial Freedom among Vulnerable Women in Cooperative”.  This seminar aims to empower and educate the cooperative officers and members about financial management, independence and sustainable economic practices.  It also aims to provide knowledge and information about financial literacy including budgeting, saving, investing and managing debt particularly about how we manage the cooperative loans.  The said seminar was conducted last August 17 to 18, 2023 at Hidden Sanctuary Resort, Marilao, Bulacan and was attended by 40 Cooperatives from Caloocan City, CCDC, CDO and CDA with a total of 100 participants.

Definitely Mayor Along “Oca” Malapitan cares for the cooperative sector that he approved the said seminar and gave a provision for transportation (back and forth) stationed at North City Hall (Bus) and South City Hall (Coaster) for our Caloocan City cooperative participants.  A lot of information were acquired from Ms. Lucy Furo and Ms. Myrna Magbitang who were the speakers for said seminar.  Their expertise in the said field was really appreciated by the participants.
